Hello and welcome to my website!
I am a Professor of Strategy at the School of Business and Economics at the University of Tübingen, where I hold the Chair of Strategy. I obtained a Ph.D. in Management from the University of St. Gallen and a Diploma in Economics (M.Sc. equivalent) from the University of Heidelberg.
My research focuses on corporate strategy and examines decisions around a firm’s boundaries and profile of business lines, with particular interest in resource allocation decisions following external shocks. My work has been published in leading academic journals, such as Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal.
I teach competitive strategy, corporate strategy, and business model design at the undergraduate and graduate level.
I currently serve as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Organization Design.
